Setup Guide

Connect your wallet and verify with Charles

Head to withluma.app and connect your wallet. Then navigate to the Alerts page from the sidebar.

If this is your first time, you will need to verify your wallet with Charles. This is a one-time setup that links your wallet address to your X account. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete verification.

Create a Smart Token Alert

On the Alerts page, click New Alert to set up your first smart alert.

Choose the token you want to track, then configure your alert rules:

Smart wallet activity (buys, sells, or both)
Minimum number of smart wallets
Minimum trade size (USD)

Toggle on Charles Alerts

On your alert, toggle the Charles Alerts switch to ON. This tells Luma to send your alert notifications through Charles on X instead of just showing them in the app.

Opt in on X (required)

To comply with X's rules, Charles can only send you notifications if you explicitly opt in by tweeting at him. Post a tweet like:

“hey charles, I set up an alert for $TOKEN, alert me here”

Tag @charles__AI in your tweet

This lets X know you want to receive messages from Charles. Without this step, Charles won't be able to reach you.

You're all set!

When smart money makes a move on your tracked token, Charles will reply to your opt-in tweet or quote-tweet you with the alert details — right in your X feed.

Tips

Set alerts on tokens you're researching. Smart alerts are most useful for tokens you're actively watching — they help you see when the best wallets confirm or contradict your thesis.

You can set up multiple alerts. Create alerts for different tokens with different thresholds. Each one will trigger independently.

The opt-in tweet is required. Due to X's platform rules, Charles cannot send you unsolicited mentions. You must tweet at @charles__AI to opt in. If you skip this step, your alerts will still trigger in the Luma app but Charles won't notify you on X.

Do I need to be a Pro subscriber?

Smart alerts are available to all Luma users. The Charles X notification feature requires a verified wallet.

How fast are the alerts?

The smart money aggregator runs every 30 minutes. When your alert conditions are met, Charles will notify you within a few minutes.

Can I turn off alerts?

Yes. Toggle the Charles Alerts switch off on any alert, or delete the alert entirely from the Alerts page.
